Our founding clubs

Alex Moore Park Sport and Community Inc. Board is made up of the following founding clubs -
​Olympic Harriers, Johnsonville Cricket, Wellington Deaf Society, Johnsonville Rugby Football Club, North Wellington Junior Football and North Wellington Senior Football.

comprises North Wellington AFC (founded in 1972.) and North Wellington Junior Football which caters for boys and girls aged between 4 & 14 years.

Johnsonville
Cricket Club

Established in 1886 Johnsonville Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the Wellington region.

Wellington Deaf Society

​Formed in 1938, the Wellington Deaf Society provides social, sporting and recreational activities for the Deaf community embracing one of New Zealand's official language, New Zealand Sign Language.

Olympic Harriers
& Athletic Club

Formed in 1914, it is one of the oldest harrier clubs in the Wellington region. More than 100 years later it remains one of the country’s strongest clubs across all grades.

Johnsonville Rugby Football Club

​Situated at Helson Park (historically known as Hell Park to taunt visiting teams), the JRFC has been an integral part of the Johnsonville community since 1900.
